Or question like a skeptic, stories old.
Between these worlds, I find my way,
For children’s laughter, I light the day.
Until our Tamil land brings forth a fest,
With meaning deep, a brighter crest,
What can one do, but join the cheer,
With hope for change in future years?
I know the myths, dark and deep,
And Sivakasi’s children, struggles steep.
In this balance, torn I stand,
Wishing joy, yet hearts to understand.
So, here I am, in between,
Lighting lamps, yet keeping clean.
Until another festival rises high,
What choice remains but to comply?
For those who celebrate, may joy be near,
For those who question, lend a Sivakasi ear.
