Why Tamil Eelam is Not Free Yet! ஈழப் போராட்டம் தொய்வடையும் காரணங்கள்!!

செர்பியாவில் இருந்து பிரிந்த கொசோவாவில் நேற்றைய தினம், 12.12.2010 முதலாவது பாராளுமன்ற தேர்தல் நடைபெற்றது. 

ஈழ விடுதலை பற்றி பேசும் போது சிலர், கொசோவாவை அடிக்கடி ஒப்பிடுவது எனக்கு உடன்பாடில்லை. காரணம், அங்கு நடைபெற்றது ஒரு கிருத்துவ-முஸ்லிம் போராட்டமாக எனக்குப் படுகிறது. அதாவது பத்து சதவிகித செர்பிய தீவிர (orthodox)கிருத்துவர்களுக்கும் தொண்ணூறு சதவிகித அல்பேனிய சன்னி பிரிவு முஸ்லிம்களுக்கும் நடைபெற்ற போர் அது ! தொண்ணூறு சதவிகிதம்-பத்து சதவிகிதத்தை  ஜெயித்துவிட்டது!!  

20 இலட்சம் சனத்தொகையைக் கொண்ட கொசோவோவில் இன்று  1,20,000 கிருத்துவ சேர்பியர்களே வசிக்கின்றனர்!  (அதனால்தான் கொசோவா முஸ்லிம்களுக்கு இன்னும் ஐ-நாவில் உறுப்புரிமை தர மேற்குலக மன்றத்தில் மனமின்றி  உள்ளனர்) 

இன்னும் யூத (கிறித்துவர்கள் உதவுகிறார்கள்) இஸ்ரேல், மற்றும் சன்னி பிரிவு முஸ்லிம்களின் பாலஸ்தீனிய போராட்டமும் அப்படியே! அது ஒரு சமயப் போராட்டம் எனலாம் !

 

அது போகட்டும்! ஈழப் போருக்கு வருவோம்! 

ஈழப் போராட்ட பின்புலம், உலகின் பிற போராட்டங்களைப் போன்று பெரும்பான்மை மக்கள் ஒன்றுசேர்ந்த சமயத் தன்மை அல்லது "ஒரு-சமய-சாயம்" கொண்டிருக்கவில்லை. வெறும் மொழி, புவியியல் ஈர்ப்பு இதை மட்டுமே கொண்டு வலிமையான ஒற்றுமையை எப்படி தமிழர்களிடம் உண்டாக்க இயலும்? நியாய தர்மங்களை பற்றி பிறகு பேசுவோம்! மொழி என்று எடுத்துக் கொண்டால், ஈழப் போருக்கு உதவ வேண்டிய ஆறு கோடித் தமிழகத் தமிழர்களுக்கு தமிழ் மொழிப் பற்று அறவே கிடையாது! தலைவர்களுக்கு அடிமைப் பட்ட அரசியல் பற்று மட்டும் உண்டு ! 





தமிழ், என்பது இங்கு அரசியல்வாதிகளுக்கு ஒரு ஒட்டு வாங்கும் கருவி!  மெத்தப் படித்த பிராமணர்களுக்கும் தாம் ஒரு தமிழர் என்பதை விட 'சமஸ்கிருத -தாய்-பெற்ற ஆரியர்' என்றே நினைப்பு இருக்கிறது. அதனால்தான் இன்றுவரை ஒரு சோவும், இந்து ராம், சுப்பிரமணிய சாமி உள்ளிட்ட, பார்ப்பனத் தலைவர்கள் ஈழ விடுதலை இயக்கத்தை  ஒரு தீவிரவாதக் குழுவாகக் காட்டும் முயற்சியில் பெருமளவு வெற்றியும் பெற்றுவிட்டனர்! 

நமது மத உணர்ச்சியும் அவ்வாறே! எண்பது வருட திராவிட இயக்கங்களின் தாக்கம், ஒரு போலி "இறை-மறுப்பு-சமய மறுப்புக்' கொள்கையை மக்களிடம் புகுத்தி விட்டன!  இதற்கிடையில், எந்த அடிப்படையில் தமிழ் மக்களை ஒற்றுமைப் படுத்தி ஒரு மிகப் பெரும் ஈழப் போராட்டத்தை முன்னெடுத்துச் செல்வது? 

விடுதலை பெற்ற எந்த ஒரு சிறு நாட்டுக்கும், வேறொரு நாட்டில் வாழும் அதே சமயம், மொழி சார்ந்த மக்களின் பங்களிப்பு நிச்சயம் இருக்கும் என்பது என் வாதம்!

இன்று மொழிப் பற்று என்பதும் வளர்க்கக் கூடிய விடயமாகப் படவில்லை. ஆங்கில மொழியின் ஏக போக நாட்டாண்மையை நிறுத்துவது/குறைப்பது என்ற சாத்தியமன்னியில், 
உலகின் பிற மொழிகள் மெல்ல அழிந்து வருவதும் கண்கூடு!

சரி! ஸ்ரீ லங்காவை எடுத்துக் கொண்டால், அங்குள்ள சிங்கள பவுத்தர்களுக்கு, இன்று சீன பவுத்தர்கள் உதவிக் கொண்டு இருக்கின்றனர்! அந்த வரிசையில் சிங்கள- இட்லர்-ராஜ பக்ஷேவுக்கு உதவத் தயாராய் இருக்கும் பிற பவுத்த நாடுகளின் வரிசை இதோ:

Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Japan, Taiwan, Tibet, Mongolia, Bhutan, Nepal, and Korea!!

ஈழத் தமிழர்களுக்கு அது போல் ஏதோ ஒரு ஆழமான அடிப்படை மீது அமைந்த உணர்வோடு, அதாவது மதம் அல்லது மொழியின் அடிப்படையில் உதவக் கூடிய நாடு(கள்) இங்கு எங்கே இருக்கின்றன? 

இதைத் தயை கூர்ந்து கவனிக்க வேண்டியவர்கள் கவனிக்கவும்!

புரிதல்! முதல் படி! அது - ஏதேனும் நல்லதொரு தீர்வுக்கு வழிகோலக் கூடும்!

 (எலித் தொல்லை என்றால் என்ன என்று தெரியாதவர்கள் இதை தயவு செய்து படிக்கவே வேண்டாம். அவர்களுக்கு எலியை கொல்லுவது பெரும் பாவமாகவே தெரியும்! தேள் கொட்டியவனுக்குத் தானே வலி தெரியும் - அதை வேடிக்கைப் பார்ப்பவனுக்கு எங்கே அது புரியப் போகிறது?)

எலித் தொல்லை தாளவே முடியவில்லை!
எலிகளைக் கண்டவுடன் தயவு தாட்சண்யம் பாராமல் ஒழித்துக் காட்டுங்கள்!

இரண்டாவது மாடியில் கூட எலிகள் வந்து நாசம் பண்ணும் என்று நம்ப முடிவில்லை 

ஒருவர் முணு முணுக்கிறார்...அதுகள் நூறாவது மாடிக்குக் கூட வரும்...மலை எலிகள் இல்லையா என்ன என்று..

* எனது பல நல்ல புத்தகங்களை நாசம் பண்ணிவிட்டன...

* குழந்தைகளின் துணிகள் பலவும் இவ்வாறே ...

* போன வாரம் வாஷிங் மஷினுக்குள் புகுந்து ஒயர்களைக் கடித்துத் துப்பி Rs.1750/- காலி.

* போன மாதம் ஒரு நாள் அதி காலை (இரவு?) இரண்டு மணி சமயம் எனது மகளின் விரலை, ஒரு எலி லேசாகக் கடிக்க கொஞ்சம் ரத்தம் வந்து..நாங்கள் எல்லாம் பயந்து போய் பெரம்பூர் பாரதி சாலை 24 hours மருத்துவ மனை சென்று அதற்கு  ஊசி, மருந்து போட்டுகொண்டு வந்தோம்.

* அந்த அறையில் படுக்க பயந்த குழந்தைகள் வேறு அறைகளில் உறங்குகின்றனர். அந்த அறைக் கதவை இரவில் பூட்டி வைக்க, நேற்று இரவு, கதவின் கீழ்ப் பகுதியை துவாரம் செய்ய ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டது அந்த அசகாய எலி!

* எலி பிடிக்கும் அந்த மரத்தால் செய்யப் பட்ட கூண்டை வைத்துவிட்டு மாதக் கணக்காகிறது...எதுவும் அதில் விழவில்லை.

* ஒரு முறை விழுந்ததை, கொண்டு போய் வாட்ச்மேன் இடம் சொல்லி ரோட்டில் விட்டு விட்டு வரச்சொன்னோம்...சாகடிக்க மனம் இன்றி! அது திரும்பவும் அடுத்த வீட்டுக்கு போயிருக்கும்!

* அது பண்ணும் தீமைகளைப் பார்த்ததால் அப்படி விடுவது தவறு என்று தோன்றுகிறது.

* ஒரு எலி வருஷத்துக்கு முப்பது குட்டிகள் போடுமாம்!

* ஒரு முறை எலி வந்த வீடு...அதோ கதிதான் என்று இணைய தளங்களில் கண்டேன்! 'எலித் தலைமுறை' அந்த வீட்டில் ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டது என்று அர்த்தம்!

* சுண்டெலி-பெருச்சாளி இதெல்லாம் அதில் அடக்கம்!

* எலிகள் இனி சென்னை போன்ற நகரங்களில் பெருகி விடும் என்றே தோன்றுகிறது. காரணம் அடுக்குமாடி கலாசாரம். எலிகள் எப்போதுமே உயரங்களில் வாழ விரும்பும் ஜந்து. மேலும் நம்மால் பூனைகளை அடுக்குமாடிகளில் வளர்க்கும் சாத்தியம் குறைவு!

பூனை ஓரிரு குட்டிகள் போட-எலிகள் சில சேர்ந்து நூற்றுக் கணக்கில் பெருக..ஒரு பூனை தான் என்ன செய்ய முடியும்?

* அதற்கு உதாரணம், அமெரிக்க நகரங்கள். அங்கு எலிப் பிரச்சினைகள் அதிகம்-எலி ஒழிக்கும் கம்பனிகளும் உள்ளன.

எலித்தொல்லை தடுக்கும் வழிகள்:

* வருமுன் காத்தல்.

* எலி வரும் வழிகளைக் கண்டு..எலி கடிக்காத பொருட்களால் அடித்தல்-வேலி போடுதல்.

* உணவுப் பொருட்கள் எலிகளுக்குக் கிடைக்காமல் பார்த்துக் கொள்ளுதல். இரவில் அவற்றைத் தின்னவே எலிகள் வருகின்றன. 

தின்றுவிட்டு பிறகு தம் பற்களை வைத்துக் கொண்டு சும்மா இருக்காமல்...கண்டதையும் கடித்து நாசம் பண்ணி...தான் குட்டி போட்டு வம்ச விருத்தி பண்ண ஒரு இடம் பார்த்துக் கொண்டு அந்த வீட்டிலேயே செட்டில் ஆகிவிடுகிறது.

* எலிகள் இருக்கும் வீட்டில், எலிகளால் அங்குள்ள மனிதர்களுக்கும் சில நோய்கள் ஏற்படும் என்று வேறு  சொல்கிறார்கள்.

Airtel ! Looting money at night!

Looting money at night: Pick-pocketing!

I am a Airtel mobile pre-paid customer my number is 9840042904.

In the recent months there are several times my money have been looted in Rs.10s and 20 at nights. Few days before on 2.12.2010 night, i saw my balance was around Rs.142 plus.But, in the morning 3.12.2010 i found only Rs.56.55 and nearly 90 rupees was neatly looted.

I gave complaint and they said my amount would be reimbursed if found fault with them in 3 working days and gave complaint number as CBDCC 31203030859. I kept quiet.

I put again Rs.120 top up on 3.12.2010 evening (Rs.106 Talktime) and with previous balance, that day talking etc I found by night the balance was around Rs.120 plus. Again the next day morning 4.12.2010 my balance was reduced to Rs.55 plus.

I got angry and when i tried to contact the customer care from morning to evening they never picked up my call seeing my number. In the evening when i cached them up via another mobile she said, she will send the second complaint number immediately to my mobile. But till the time no response.

More over for the past one month i could not make at least a three minutes call without several cut in the middle. That means to a simple one minute talk i need to spend four calls amount and comes about four times the unnecessary cost which goes to Airtel owner. I feel depressed as to why our Govt and Trai are not concerned in these like mega looting in an exponential way from the millions of innocent mobile users. Though seems like mini leakages in one rupee and two rupees per customer, with millions of users Airtel is looting in billions. More or less, the situation remains same with other mobile service providers too. But in the public opinion as with the dealers too, Airtel is the prime looter, they say! See, to have clarification on some thing, if you want to talk to the customer care officer you have to pay 50NP/3min to Airtel. What a shame? Being a mobile service provider they tax customer for customer care calls! Here after every one can do the same thing in India!

My pain is, what ever the consumer says in the consumer court it is not going to be accountable since we have no data to prove any thing. Because, the mobile providers only keeping the datas and never the Govt or any common Org, which can be manipulated at their whims and fancy.

See, we cannot prove our repeated complaints and their negligence.
We cannot prove their excess billing.
We cannot repent or retake our money by accidental touch of any buttons in our mobile.
We cannot prove any of our difficulties and issues like waiting one hour to reach the customer care officers...frequent call cuts..unwanted sms/calls from ad agencies, 'that number does not exist', life time sim card means 1 to 3 years, this and that.
We cannot have any receipt for our money and their service accountability.

It is not like going to a hotel, eating and paying bill directly and if any fault is there with their bills and service we can argue and do some thing. But, It is like, fighting with the invisible devils and the devils can wound you, call you, bill you excess, torture you but you cannot retaliate in any way!!

What a system and what a Trai and Govt authorities to look after their citizens!!!! Great India!

Bacteria can survive on toxic arsenic!! கொடிய விஷத்திலும் வாழும் நுண்ணுயிரி!

Study finds unprecedented bacterium!

Washington - Scientists have discovered bacteria in a California lake that can survive on toxic arsenic, in a breakthrough published in the latest issue of the journal Science. 

The bacterium is the first known organism that can use arsenic, which is normally toxic to life, instead of phosphorus in its biochemical processes including DNA.

All forms of previously known life require six elements: nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, carbon, sulfur and phosphorus.

The salt-loving bacterium in the new study, a member Halomonadaceae family of proteobacteria, was able to survive and thrive on arsenic in laboratory conditions in the complete absence of phosphorus.

The discovery, part of an astrobiology study sponsored by the US space agency NASA, is considered a breakthrough in life science on Earth and in the search for extraterrestrial life.

'We've cracked open the door to what's possible elsewhere in the universe, and that's profound,' Felisa Wolfe-Simon, the NASA research fellow who led the study team, said Thursday in a NASA press conference.

Arsenic and phosphorus are both soft metals - in adjoining spots on the periodic table of the elements - and behave similarly in many chemical reactions.

The bacterium was found in Mono Lake, on the desertified eastern slopes of California's Sierra Nevada mountains. Just east of Yosemite National Park, the lake is briny and toxic but 'teeming' with microorganisms such as algae and bacteria, Wolfe-Simon said.

'It is terrestrial life,' said NASA senior scientist for astrobiology Mary Voytek, 'but not life as we know it.'

Beyond increasing influencing the search for life forms outside Earth, the findings could have practical applications in waste-water treatment, cleaning up toxic waste and replacing scarce phosphorous in bio-energy production.

Researchers grew the bacteria in a laboratory. In Petri dishes, arsenic was used to gradually replace phosphate salt, and eventually the bacterium grew using arsenic entirely, replacing phosphorus with arsenic in its molecules.

James Elser, an evolutionary ecologist who specializes in phosphorus in the environment, said it was 'quite shocking' for the bacterium to use arsenic instead.

The findings will require changes in science textbooks.

'Certainly, some paragraphs and sentences are going to have to be rewritten,' said Elser, a professor at Arizona State University.

Last November, we redesigned Google News for mobile access on smartphones including Android, iPhone and Palm Pre. Today, we're globally rolling out new usability and visual enhancements that we hope will make browsing news on your smartphone easier.

We expanded the story space to make tapping on articles easier and more accurate. Tapping anywhere on an article headline or snippet opens it up, and clicking on a section heading opens up that topic section on your screen.

In addition, the default view of stories is now collapsed which reduces scrolling time. You can 'expand' a story by tapping on 'More sources', which brings you to related stories from other sources. The screenshots below show the collapsed and expanded view of a story.

PC Sriram daughter - untimely call from God!

Renowned cinematographer PC Sriram's daughter has passed away on Sunday morning (Nov 7) in an accident. She accidentally slipped off the parapet wall on the terrace of a four-story building at Landons Road, Kilpauk, Chennai and fell down on the ground. She was immediately rushed to the hospital but by then she has already passed away, confirmed doctors.

In the early hours on Sunday, S Shweta, 23-year-old daughter of cameraman and film director PC Sreeram, slipped and fell from the terrace of her friend's house on Landon's Road and plunged four floors down to death. Shweta, a B Tech graduate and an engineer with Infosys Technologies Limited, was celebrating Diwali with a group of friends and was dining with them at a restaurant in Nungambakkam on Saturday night, an investigating officer told Express. Later, they went to their friend's apartment on Landon Road.

                             

It was around 1.30 am, when it was drizzling, they were chatting on the terrace, while Shweta walked back and forth along the parapet. Suddenly, the friends heard a loud thud and initially thought that it was the sound of an exploding firecracker. They later realised that Shweta had fallen down, the officer said.
She was working as a software engineer and showed no interest to get into the film field.
We express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and her friends and I pray for PC Sriram daughter's soul to rest in peace.
